Road to Recovery

Individuals from organizations such as Denver Rescue Mission, Providence Network, and combat veterans have experienced life-changing horse encounters. The horses act as extraordinary “therapists” to encourage:

  • Empathy and communication
  • Self control and confidence
  • Respect for self and others
  • Building trust and teamwork
  • Addiction recovery

”EAP helped clients who were at crucial points in their therapy/recovery to become unstuck and move ahead. One client in particular who was thinking of moving on decided to continue and finish the program with us as a result of a particularly impacting equine therapy session, graduated from our program, and achieved the goals that had been set.”
